High Performance Sport NZ Appoint Dr Monica Robbers as GM Strategy, Intelligence & Networks
Monica holds a Ph.D. in Applied Sociology (Statistics) and Justice and has extensive experience in executive leadership across the public and private sectors, specialising in strategic development and organisational transformation.
A former New Zealand junior representative in Track and Field and professional athlete, Monica will join HPSNZ from the Independent Police Conduct Authority having held Directorship roles at the US Sentencing Commission and CSR Incorporated.
An accomplished senior leader, Monica has a track record of managing complex and diverse stakeholders’ groups and networks, and extensive experience overseeing intelligence and insight functions across New Zealand and internationally.
Monica will take up the position on Monday 7 January 2019 as part of the HPSNZ Senior Leadership Team and be responsible for leading the rollout, monitoring and evaluation of the High Performance System Blueprint.
She will also be responsible for developing, monitoring and evaluating the annual HPSNZ strategic priorities and establishing and leading the high performance Intelligence function and innovation project and establishing the lead Athlete Monitoring Systems for the HP sport system.
Based in Cambridge, Monica will also be responsible for managing the Cambridge National Training Centres operations and supporting the delivery across the Performance Hub Network including Christchurch, Wellington and Dunedin.
